This is the main class of the group. We teach Longsword as taught in the late 16th century. The classes are held Tuesday and Wednesday at 7.30pm, and Saturday at 3.30pm.
The Dussack was a basket-hilted sword of the mid 16th to mid 17th century. It was a popular weapon for both war and sport. Classes are held on Mondays at 7.30pm every other Month.
In Joachim Meyer's time the Rapier was a relatively new weapon in the German area. His teachings incorporate traditional ways of fencing with the new weapon. Classes are held on Fridays at 7.30pm every other Month.
Sword and Buckler
This is one of the most popular weapon combinations in the Medieval to Renaissance periods. We use the plays found in Lignitzer's text as the basis for our classes. Classes are held on Mondays at 7.30pm every other Month.
Ringen and Dagger
Ringen refers to the Traditional style of Wrestling practiced in Central Europe during the Medieval to Renaissance periods. We practice the style taught by Fabian von Auersald in the early 16th century. Our source for Dagger defence is Joachim Meyer, who gives us a comprehensive set of plays that goes through many common scenarios in his day. These classes are taught on Friday at 7.30pm every other Month.
