Facemask Updates
Today Atlanta decided to pause the general Mask Mandate in the City of Atlanta for general businesses. 11Alive Article
They are still requiring them in City facilities. As in July we are not lifting the facemask requirement for vaccinated people immediately. This is for a few reasons:
Give time for the CDC weekly stats to publish
Because this may cause Atlanta to change their mind. It has happened before
It will also give time for those who have been vaccinated since July, or have joined since July, to show proof of vaccination. All I need to see is some form of proof. A picture of the card works fine.
If you are vaccinated then come Monday you have the option to go without a facemask if you so wish. Those who are unvaccinated are asked to remain wearing facemasks. As always these rules are based on CDC and Atlanta gov recommendations so it may happen that we have to return to wearing facemasks.
Hopefully vaccination rates continue to raise, and Covid numbers continue to drop.
Along with this we are coming into Flu season. It is always a good thing to get that Jab also
